I am going to start posting some past weddings we have done here at SCE. The first one is...Jenn and Jason! Enjoy!
I had the pleasure of meeting Jenn and her mom at the bridal store I used to work at. She called me a couple weeks after meeting and asked if I would be the coordinator for her wedding at the Broadmoor. I happily obliged! Jenn and Jason were married on June 14, 2008 at the beautiful Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. It was a glorious day! Follow me as we relive this stunning wedding…
The ceremony was held at the Mountain Terrace on the Broadmoor grounds. They invited 150 of their closest friends and family to join them as them as they celebrated their love for each other. Their wedding date was also shared by a set of grandparents that unfortunately had passed before the wedding. Jenn and Jason made sure to honor them with a striking custom candle. The ceremony area was culminated by a beautiful arch – made by the highly talented team from Skyway Creations. The aisle was lined with candles and flowers. During the ceremony, they had a gorgeous song played that was sung by two very special people to them. The ceremony was performed by the bride’s aunt. It was a magnificent and very meaningful ceremony.
The reception was held in the West Ballroom at the Broadmoor. They started the reception by introducing the bridal party into the reception. Not all of the guests knew each other, so this was a great way to introduce the most important people of the event. After the introdcution, the bride and groom shared their first dance as husband and wife. The father of the bride did a welcome toast before we moved into dinner and we also have a blessing done by the bride's aunt. Next they moved on to dinner. They had plated 4 course dinner. In between course, the toasts took place. This is a great option if you are going to have a plated service. You have your guests attention and it also saves time so you can have more dancing after dinner! Both the bride and groom’s cakes were done by the Broadmoor. The bride’s cake was a 3 layer Vanilla Bean Gateaux with Fresh Strawberries and Bavarian Cream. The groom’s cake was truly spectacular! The chef was so proud of the cake; he made a second cake just like it to be cut so they didn’t have to cut it that night. His cake was a chocolate cake flavored with Bailey’s Liqueur and filled with Bailey’s Toffee Mousse. It was a chocolate lover dreams. Truly decadent! After dinner, they partied the night away!
The night was filled with love and affection. It was such an honor to be part of their wedding day. Thanks Jenn and Jason!
