I met with a bride over the weekend and she is using dahlias in her wedding, so I thought I would feature it as this week’s wedding flower!
There are over 2,000 varieties of the dahlia – different shape, sizes and colors. It is found in North and Central America and Europe. The size of the dahlia ranges from low as 12" to as tall as 6-8. The flowers can be as small as 2" in diameter or up to a foot. The colors are red, white, purple, yellow, orange and pink. Some flowers are striped or tipped with a different color. The dahlia is available in the summer to early fall. They are typically a low cost flower but a beautiful flower!
